Covid 19 Pandemic Policy
Our practice cares for a wide range of patients including vulnerable elderly and immunocompromised patients together with our younger patients who may not have been able to be vaccinated yet.
We have a small practice and it is not possible to segregate higher risk (for example unvaccinated) patients from other patients, as may be possible for some larger practices.
In order to keep all of our patients together with our staff well and safe we strictly follow the policy below:
If you are unwell or have potential exposure to Covid 19, please do not attend your appointment but phone us as soon as possible and we will reschedule
You must wear a mask inside the practice.
You must either scan the government covid code or allow us to note your details for Covid tracing
You must bring official proof of vaccination when you attend the appointment
We will ask you when scheduling if you are fully vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated or do not wish to disclose this, we will offer to see you at special appointment times reserved at the end of the day to ensure other patients are not present.
Surgical procedures are almost always performed on a separate day. We reserve the right to ask for a negative Covid test prior to procedures being done.
If these conditions are not acceptable we regret that we will not see you for a face to face consultation. We can offer you a virtual consultation or if this is not appropriate, offer you options of where care can be provided.
With the rapidly changing pandemic situation and incipient arrival of Omicron in the community our policy is subject to change according to government advice and best practice.
